KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.67 g, 10 h), first series. Head of Arsames to right, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges, tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - APΣAMOY King on horseback to right, hurling spear at two attacking soldiers; below his horse, a third, fallen soldier. Kovacs 1. Rare. Minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
